Living Story Archives
A Storytelling revival starts with reclaiming your work.
For many artists, popular social media platforms have been an irresistable canvas for creating and storytelling. They facilitated connection and artistic innnovation for entire communities. Though, if we’re being honest: these platforms are not ideal (and sometimes even hostile) for creators seeking to preserve and showcase their stories the way they intend. Unsustainable platform practices create roadblocks that result in lost work, and exploitation of the creators make up the entire value of said platforms. The simple solution is to reclaim that work.
Az developed this system of archiving and presenting storytelling work as a passion project over the course of two years or so, using Canva as a completely creator-controlled platforming tool. Below is a free guide and template set he created, which walks you through the process of building your own. Here on StarWhispers, Living Story Archives are housed under each story's Theater page, if an archive exists, under the Story Directory tab.
