HOW TO NAVIGATE This archive:
*(You can also click the "..." MORE button in the bottom left, if you are viewing the playlist it its own window, and select "grid view" to skip to a specific video once you are in it's "part.") This Living Story Archive is made with Canva and is best viewed on desktop. For a more mobile-friendly browsing experience, you can watch Az and Lou's videos in the order that they were originally published, as they are gathered on our Video Feed page. We are adding our videos there as often as we can. What is a living story archive?
A living story archive is a continuously updated collection hosted through Canva, featuring each video or artwork on individual slides.
Canva's live embed feature ensures that any updates to the archive are instantly reflected wherever it is shared or embedded. This allows for easily adding new work to the archive, without needing to re-upload any compilation videos or change any links, enabling these stories to evolve seamlessly. HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN:
"The Ocean's Call" began as a storytelling venture on TikTok,
leveraging the platform's collaborative features for creators to interact and role-play together through videos. These storytelling adventures fostered a global community of creators, generating thousands of short videos and artworks. Each individual work is a vignette, contributing a fragment to the overarching narratives. However, this project and others like it ran into roadblock after roadblock on its original platform. Inconsistently applied community guidelines, wrongful bans and censorship, app glitches, unusable search features and general lack of creator outreach led to consistent loss of those creators' hard work, through no fault of their own. Not to mention holes in the storylines! Az developes these living story archives as a resilient, creator-controlled storytelling platform. Creatives are reclaiming their art, creating an era of digital storytelling where they can confidently share their work, knowing their art is preserved in it's intended form. Both for future viewers- and for themselves.
