For Nox, a stroll through Hell to do the bidding of whoever summons him (whether he likes it or not) is just a Tuesday.

That is, until he finds a witch, Aaron Taylors, trapped in the pit: a human with a demon's eyes who is very much alive, and the most interesting thing Nox has seen in a very long time.

When Nox makes an impulse decision to save Aaron—because he never could leave well enough alone—he thinks that's the end of it.

Until he finds Aaron in Hell again. And again.

Nox swears he's not interested in finding out how. Or why Aaron burned protective wards into his skin. Or how a sweet guy got tangled up in the occult in the first place. Taking an interest like that would be a mistake. Getting attached? Out of the question.

So keeping an eye on him is just business. Can't have a live human mucking things up in Hell. A demon's got to work, after all. And if they have a little fun in the meantime? Well.

Not like it could shatter the celestial hierarchy of the universe or anything.

Right?
