Announcing MarrOw: Collections Vol. One

Book cover for MARROW Collections, Vol. One, by Azrai & Lou Wright. The design looks like an antique black leather book, textured and scuffed, with a deeply embossed frame of twisting vines, leaves, and lily-like flowers. Inside the frame, the title MARROW is set in large weathered white capitals with a soft light flaring off the second R, followed by

A lot has happened since we last posted.

For years, you have been commenting on Lou's and my character videos asking for a book. A webcomic. A movie. Even a TV series. Here are just a few that I saved because this has meant so much to me:

So, I said that we would start self-publishing our stories once our GoFundMe got to the halfway point, $50,000.00 CAD. Because this GoFundMe is keeping us alive through some dangerous life events, during which writing has been one of the only creative outlets that remained consistently doable for us.

And boy, have we written. The Ocean's Call alone has over 230,000 words in our drafts.

And two days ago, that milestone goal was reached!

One of you legends saw my recent update post and donated the entire remaining amount to get across that threshold. Thank you so much, Elliot, and everyone who donated since.

I'd been preparing for this as the goal got closer, so I only had to give the file one more pass to create a digital version. Starting today, an early digital copy of every work we publish will be included with your pledge on Patreon.

The versions of the stories in these collections are different from previous versions posted on StarWhispers, and they include some never-before-seen art.

Want a physical copy?

Print copies will be available in our store about two weeks from now, once our final proof copy arrives and we've approved it. (If you're reading this after October 20th 2026, it may be live already!) (E-book versions will also be available for everyone within the next month.)

This first issue will be sold directly through the StarWhispers website, and it'll also be available from major online retailers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble a few weeks after that. You can even ask your local library to order it!

We'd rather not go through Amazon, but the distributor that supplies Amazon also supplies libraries, so we can't have one without the other right now. If we can figure out a way around that in the future, we will.

Either way, buying directly from us is always the best way to support our work. (We make about $2 on an Amazon sale vs. $13 from a direct sale.)

This is a pretty huge milestone for Lou and me all around, and not just because of the fundraising goal. It means so much to me that you believe in our stories, and that even during the most precarious time in my life to date, we can make this happen together.

I'm so excited to start this new chapter (haha) with you.
