Righteous indignation on the side of queer characters is,, so nice fr.
Really appreciating Jack’s backstory introduced throughout. What a lad. What an ocean boy.
“All the years he’d changed the shape of himself to better tend the Abbey.” Gut wrenching and so well worded :(
What a goodbye! All the things Jack left for the sisters are so cute. With the mentions of his rolling out of the sea as a baby and unconsciously lingering near it, it feels inevitable he go back, but it’s still so sad that he’s being sent away. Giving him a hug.

What a lovely sentiment! I love this introduction to Jack, especially as someone who has been out of the story loop for a while and barely remembers anything about it. I'm excited to continue the story and see what happens with Jack! A good prologue if I say so!
